El domingo 6 de mayo se celebró la Fiesta Misionera en la guardería “Amor de Dios” del poblado de Regla. En la celebración, que se inició con la santa misa presidida por Mons. Juan García, arzobispo de La Habana, hubo también rifas, juegos y se habilitaron varios puntos de venta de comida y artículos escolares para los niños.
A la fiesta asistieron las religiosas y el movimiento seglar de la Congregación junto a los pequeños y sus padres. A un encuentro que constituyó una fiesta de crecimiento en solidaridad, y permitió tener un momento de ocio y compartir fraterno entre todos los presentes, se sumó la alegría de los más chicos del barrio que no quisieron perderse esa oportunidad.
Esta festividad se realiza cada año en los 19 países donde la familia Amor de Dios está presente. La iniciativa forma parte de la campaña de solidaridad que la congregación realiza para enviar ayuda monetaria a algunas naciones. En esta ocasión, los fondos recaudados irán hacia el hermano país de Cabo Verde.
Justo el espacio donde se pudo realizar esta fiesta y que hoy constituye la guardería “Amor de Dios”, fue el fruto de una campaña de solidaridad en el año 1997.
