Crónica: Premio a “Caer y levantarse”, de Jorge Domingo Cuadriello. Exquisito relato de un acontecimiento que muestra la voluntad humana para sobreponerse a los infortunios en pos de un deseo, un ideal o un sueño que, más allá del bienestar propio, busque ayudar al prójimo. La historia, contada cronológicamente, se apropia de un lenguaje directo y sencillo, para narrar con gracia la desventura de sus protagonistas.
1ra. Mención a “La bendecidora”, de Reinaldo Cedeño Pineda, por la elegancia literaria con que el autor convierte una historia dramática en belleza.
2da. Mención a “Lección de amor”, de Dania Ramírez, por presentarnos una historia estremecedora que nos muestra el auténtico rostro de la misericordia.
3ra. Mención a “Mi prójimo”, de Manuela Salgado Delgado, por exponer a través de la experiencia personal lo que fueron, en su momento, las Unidades Militares de Ayuda a la Producción (UMAP), justo cuando se cumple el 50mo. aniversario de este triste acontecimiento cubano.

Por el acercamiento a un importante empresario norteamericano cuyo emprendimiento en Cuba demostró, en su momento, que es posible concertar, a un tiempo, el amor al trabajo, el humanismo y la prosperidad colectiva y personal.
