The series on the auxiliary bishops of Havana brings us closer today to Msgr. Salvador Riverón Cortina. According to the author, his appointment, on 24 April 1999 by Pope John Paul II, was the best choice and help that Archbishop Jaime Ortega needed for those moments of pastoral overflow.

The Word of the Father, Jesus Christ, is the sower who sows and is the sown Seed that fertilizes the earth.

The following text invites us to dwell on the value of small things.
It reminds us that sometimes something seemingly insignificant is decisive, for better or worse. Small things have their value and the details count a lot: for the proper functioning of the instruments and devices that become more and more essential every day, and also to achieve a happy coexistence with others.

Jesus makes clear the coming of the Kingdom. He eats with the excluded, welcomes prostitutes, heals the sick, forgives sinners. All these concrete gestures are parables in action, which show that in his person the Kingdom of Love has come to us and that God is exercising his royalty on earth.
