We value the efforts of all who make this broadcast a reality. Today, Sunday June 6, the Catholic Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, or according to the better known Latin expression, Corpus Christi.

In all the masses this Sunday the Gospel of Mark is read, chapter 14, verses 12 to 26.

(GOSPEL)

The Second Vatican Council tells us in the Constitution on the Holy Liturgy:

“Our Savior, at the Last Supper, the night he was handed over, instituted the Eucharistic sacrifice of his body and blood to perpetuate for centuries, until his return, the sacrifice of the cross and entrust to his beloved Spouse, the Church , the memorial of his death and resurrection, a sacrament of piety, a sign of unity, a bond of love, a paschal banquet in which Christ is received, the soul is filled with grace and we are given the pledge of future glory.

“Therefore, the Church tries with solicitous care that the faithful do not attend this mystery of faith as mute or strange spectators, but, understanding it well, through rites and prayers, participate consciously, piously and actively in sacred action, are instructed by the Word of God, repair your strength in the banquet of the Body of the Lord, give thanks to God, learn to offer yourselves by offering the immaculate host not only by the hands of the priest, but also together with him, and be perfected day to day, through Christ the Mediator, in unity with God and with each other, so that finally God is all in all ”.

Many Catholics upon receiving communion, since the 16th century, pray the prayer of Saint Ignatius of Loyola entitled Alma de Cristo. We pray and comment:

Soul of Christ, sanctify me and thus I can live fully happy, since my whole person has your same feelings, your same thoughts, your same will, and then be able to affirm like Saint Paul: I live, but not I, it is Christ who lives in my.

Body of Christ, save me. Body of Christ, crucified for the forgiveness of my sins, save me from hatred, revenge, envy, contempt of the elderly, separation from husband or wife, abandonment of children, theft, and all kinds of evil .

Blood of Christ, intoxicate me and soak me in the love of God the Father and of my brothers, friends or enemies. The covenant between God and his people, which the book of Exodus tells us, chapter 24, is a covenant of blood sprinkled on the altar and the people. Blood is a sign of extreme friendship, both parties are united to the point of blood, they will be faithful to the point of blood, they will love each other to the point of blood. The very blood of Christ is drunk by us and this blood is the life of God. He who participates in the communion of the blood of Christ must live the life of God.

Water from the side of Christ, wash me as you did in Baptism when I renounced evil and promised to proclaim the faith publicly and now upon receiving you in Communion renew that cleansing of all the bad that can stick to me on the path of life and may be clothed in a brilliant spiritual whiteness.

Passion of Christ, comfort me in the midst of illness, failures, betrayal, what I wanted for my family and has not been, false criticism and true criticism to mend myself.

Oh good Jesus, hear me when I ask you to be better, that my family be better, that my people be better and that I know how to listen to you when you speak to me in communion!

Inside your wounds hide me when dreams and beautiful projects have not been realized and I feel paralyzed and inside your wounds I heal mine and continue forward.

Don’t let me get away from you because I know that without you nothing and with you everything. I know that you are the path by which no one has ever been lost. What would i be without you?

Defend me from the evil enemy because falling into the rubbish of evil will lead me to greater suffering and pain. Do not let me fall into temptation and deliver me from evil.

At the hour of my death, call me to come to you, so that with your saints I may praise you for ever and ever and so I may also be with my deceased whose names I present to you with the grateful love that they gave me and taught me. Amen.

So I believe it, so I accept it, so I live it, so I affirm it.

Jesus ate many times with the Virgin and Saint Joseph, with the apostles, before the crucifixion and after the resurrection, with the marriage of Cana, with Lazarus, Martha and Mary, with Peter’s mother-in-law, with the Pharisee, with five a thousand people without counting women or children and with four thousand on another occasion. He ate with the women who accompanied him announcing the Gospel, with Jairo’s family, with seventy-two disciples and at a meal, called Easter, he instituted the Eucharist and left us his Body and Blood as the spiritual food of our lives and he ordered us to repeat his words and gestures to update and present the forgiveness of sins made a reality on the cross. Try to contemplate how Jesus ate lunch and eat according to the Gospels and do the same at home.

All sitting at the table, husband, wife, children, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, talking about the good things lived, advising each other before what went wrong, before the suffering and pain, presenting the projects and illusions to all those present.

It would be good to read a text from the Bible or the New Testament and comment on it. Before meals, Jesus blessed the food and at the end gave thanks to God. If you do it like this, great happiness will be present and love and family harmony will multiply in the house. When you can send us a photo of your family lunches.

On Friday June 11 we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In front of the painting of the Heart of Jesus or with a picture in hand, we pray with the universal Church.

“O heart of Jesus, God and true man, refuge of sinners and hope of those who trust in you. You kindly tell us to come to me and repeat to us the words you said to the paralytic: “Trust, my son, your sins are forgiven”; and to the sick woman: “Trust, my daughter, your faith has saved you”; and to the apostles: “Trust, it is I, do not fear.” Encouraged by these words of yours, I come to you with a heart full of trust to tell you sincerely and from the most intimate part of my heart:

“Heart of Jesus, I trust in you.”

In my joys and sorrows …

“Heart of Jesus, I trust in you.”

In my tasks and responsibilities …

“Heart of Jesus, I trust in you.”

In my prosperity and adversity …

“Heart of Jesus, I trust in you.”

In the needs of my family …

“Heart of Jesus, I trust in you.”

In the temptations of the devil and of my own passions …

“Heart of Jesus, I trust in you.”

In the persecutions of my enemies …

“Heart of Jesus, I trust in you.”

In the backbiting and slander …

“Heart of Jesus, I trust in you.”

In sickness and pain …

“Heart of Jesus, I trust in you.”

In my flaws and sins …

“Heart of Jesus, I trust in you.”

In the sanctification and salvation of my soul …

“Heart of Jesus, I trust in you.”

Always and on all occasions …

“Heart of Jesus, I trust in you.”

In life and in death …

“Heart of Jesus, I trust in you.”

In time and in eternity …

“Heart of Jesus, I trust in you.”

Pope Francis reminds us of the love of the Heart of Jesus when he tells us:

“From this quick tour of the gospel we deduce that Jesus not only wants us to pray as he prays, but he assures us that, although our prayer attempts are completely vain and ineffective, we can always count on his prayer. We must be aware, Jesus prays for me. Once a good bishop told me that in a very bad moment of his life and of a great trial, a moment of darkness, he looked at the top of the basilica and saw this phrase written “I Peter I will pray for you”, and that gave him strength and comfort. And this happens every time each of us knows that Jesus prays for him. Jesus prays for us. Right now, at this moment, do this memory exercise repeating: “When there is some difficulty, when you are in the orbit of distractions, Jesus is praying for me.” But father, is that true? It’s true!; he said it himself. Let’s not forget that what sustains each of us in life is the prayer of Jesus. For each one of us, with a name, a surname before the Father, showing him the wounds that are the price of our salvation. Even if our prayers were only babbling, if they were compromised by wavering faith, let us never stop trusting this. “I don’t know how to pray, but he he he prays for me.” Sustained by the prayer of Jesus, our timid prayers rest on the wings of eagles and go up to heaven. Don’t forget, Jesus is praying for me. Now? Now. In the moment of trial, in the moment of sin, even in that moment, Jesus is praying for me with so much love.

Inside the heart of Jesus we place our entire family and pray to God the Father:

(PRAYER OF THE FATHER)

In the hands of the Virgin of Charity we place all our sick and we pray to the Virgin for them:

Hail Mary, you are full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among all women and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

(SINGING)

And the blessing of God the Father, who created us to constitute a beautiful family united by love, the blessing of Jesus Christ, the path of our happiness, the blessing of the Holy Spirit, who can achieve unsuspected realities for those we love, and the company of the Virgin protect them always. Amen.
