(EVANGELIO)

By the mystery of Christ’s death and resurrection, we ourselves have been buried with Christ at baptism so that we may live a new life. Therefore, after the exercise of Lent, let us renew the promises of the Holy Baptism with which we once renounce Satan and his works and promise to faithfully serve God in the Catholic Church. The Church asks us, we answer:
Do you renounce Satan and all his works?
A: Yes, I quit.
Do you renounce sin to live in the freedom of God’s children?
A: Yes, I quit.
Do you renounce all the seductions of evil so that sin does not dominate in you?
A: Yes, I quit.
Do you renounce Satan, this is sin as God’s denial, evil as a sign of sin in the world, error as obfuscation of truth, violence as contrary to charity, selfishness as a lack of witness to love?
A: Yes, I quit.
Do you renounce Satan’s works that are envy, hatred, laziness, indifference, sorrows that do not trust in God, injustices, materialisms, sexual unbridledness, and anything that goes against God’s law?
A: Yes, I quit.
And now the Church asks them:
Do you believe in God the Almighty Father creator of heaven and earth?
A: Yes, I think.
Do you believe in Jesus Christ, your only Son, our Lord, who was born of holy virgin Mary, died, was buried, rose from the dead, and is with God the Father where he awaits us?
A: Yes, I think.
Do you believe in the Holy Spirit, in the Holy Catholic Church, in the communion of saints, in the forgiveness of sins, in the resurrection of the flesh, and in eternal life?
A: Yes, I think.
Almighty God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who cleansed us from sin by the water and the Holy Ghost, and granted us the remission of sins, will keep us in his grace to live risen as the son Jesus Christ, our lord, now and for eternal life. amen.

To continue to be resurrected with you, having renounced evil and professed the Faith, my God grant me romanticism, even knowing that roses do not speak; optimism, even knowing that the future may not be so joyful; the will to live, even knowing that life is, in many painful moments; the will to have great friends, even knowing that with the rounds of the world they leave our lives. The will to help people, even knowing that many of them are unable to see, recognize, and repay this help; balance, even knowing that many forces wanted me to fall; the will to love, even knowing that the person I love most may not feel the same feeling for me; light and brightness in my gaze, even knowing that many things I will see in the world obscure my eyes. Strength, knowing that defeat can be present in my efforts; reason, even knowing that the temptations of life are many; the feeling of justice, even knowing that the harmed may be me; the beauty and joy of seeing, even knowing that many tears will spring from my eyes; love for my family, even knowing that she will often require incredible efforts to maintain harmony. The will to give this enormous love that is in my heart, even knowing that it will often be rejected; the will to be great in service, even knowing that the world is very great and I am unable to reach everyone. And above all, I never forget that you, my God, love me infinitely. Thank you, Lord, for all who live like this.

It helps us to live resurrected “The Decalogue of Serenity”, lived and written by St. John XXIII.
Only for today will I try to live exclusively this day, without wanting to solve the problem of my life at once.
Just for today I will put the greatest care in my appearance, I will be courteous in my manners, I will not criticize anyone and I will not intend to improve or discipline anyone but myself.
Only for today will I adapt to the circumstances, without pretending that the circumstances suit my wishes.
Just for today I’ll do 10 minutes of good reading.
Just for today I’ll do a good deed without saying it to anyone, if I’m offended I’ll make sure no one knows.
Only for today will I be happy thinking of eternal happiness.
Only for today will I be saved from two calamities, haste and indecision. I’ll think providence takes care of me like there’s no other person in the world.
Only for today will I have no fears and above all I will not be afraid to enjoy the beautiful and to believe in goodness. I can do good during this day, what would discourage me would be to think about having to do it all my life.

From today until Pentecost Sunday, Sunday, May 23, Christians in many places greet each other with these words:
“Christ is risen, truly risen”.
(CANTO)
When husband and wife, parents and children, mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, father-in-law and son-in-law, brothers, neighbors, friends, and even enemies meet, we greet each other like this:
“Christ is risen, truly risen”.

A Christian tells us about his Faith:
I know that Christ has risen because I have experienced his presence. I experience that I am loved, I never feel alone, I feel great love for my brothers, I live the experience and culture of forgiveness. I’ve stopped fearing, even death. My king is love, I have peace and confidence and I transmit them, I always notice fresh the flower of hope. I feel in me a source of joy that is not exhausted. In my nights I always have a light, my sufferings already make sense by the cross. I make the sufferings of two brothers mine. I believe in the angels of comfort and hope, I fear not the powers of hell, nor do I believe in the power of demons; I am not seduced by the gods of the earth. I love beatitudes, the poor are my favorites, I’d rather give my life than take it away. I hope and advance the kingdom of life, I await the triumphant return of Jesus Christ, I glory on the cross. I only wait in Jesus. Christ is risen, he has truly risen.

One day, many years ago, a hundred wise men had gathered to discuss the most essential things in the world. They came from the most remote places, spoke different languages, were wise in their different fields, searched the succession of things that happened in the world with contrasting mindsets. No one would have righted someone else. At one point, one of them proposed, “Since we failed to agree, let us try to be inspired by prayer.” Some became irritated, others were perplexed, but the vast majority were favorable. Then another problem arose, he agreed… But what formula to adopt? The contrasts seemed to emerge again until the same proponent above said that there was a prayer, perhaps unique in the world, that can be accepted by all, believers of any religion and in its essential matter, any philosopher, believed or not. And the proponent prayed together with others:
(OUR FATHER’S PRAYER)
In that meeting Christ was resurrected. Christ is risen, he has truly risen.

We approach Christ by praying and singing Spiritual Communion.

Tonight we ask ourselves, we comment with the family, what was the meeting of the Risen Christ, how it happened, what joy, what peace, what happiness for all.
(CANTO)
We bow our heads to receive the blessing. At the end of each invocation we pray Amen.
The God who by the resurrection of his Only Begotten has redeemed us and adopted us as children, fills us with joy with his blessings.
Amen.
And since by the redemption of Christ they received the gift of true freedom, for their goodness they also receive eternal happiness.
Amen.
And for by confessing faith, they have risen with Christ at baptism, for their good works they deserve to be admitted into the homeland of heaven.
Amen.
And the blessing of Almighty God, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost descend upon you, upon your families, and remain forever.
Amen.
