Congratulations to all the mothers of the children who make this radio broadcast possible, today Sunday May 9, Sixth Sunday of Easter, Mother’s Day. We listen to the Gospel according to Saint John, chapter 15, verses 9 to 17.
(GOSPEL)
We congratulate the Virgin Mary, our mother in heaven, who fully lived this gospel that we have just heard. She lived in this life the love for which God created her. She lived being the mother of the son of God made man. She, like all mothers, gave all her love to her blessed fruit. She was by her side teaching him the word of God and learning from her son what he lived and preached. She accompanied him in the proclamation of the gospel and she was at the side of the crucifixion as a consoling mother and what she expected, her resurrection, she fully enjoyed. As mother of the Church, she prayed with the apostles and encouraged them in the mission that her son gave them: to announce the Gospel to the whole world. She is now with her son in the house of heaven and from there she continues to be our mother. She is the mother of all mothers and the mother of all children. All the mothers present to the Virgin her pleas for her children and she asks what is best for them. As the mother of heaven, she will know how to pray to God for what is best for her children and her mothers. And on this Mother’s Day we greet the Virgin, our mother in heaven, with the prayer of praise and supplication that is the Hail Mary prayer:
“God save you, Mary, you are full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among all women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen”.

Thank you, Father God, for having created my mother to be my mother. Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ, for showing my mother that you are the path by which no one has ever been lost, the truth that does not disappoint, a fully happy life. All this beauty was taught to me by my mother with her examples and words. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for filling my mother with blessings since I was in her womb, for enlightening her with your gifts of counsel and piety. Thank you, Virgin of Charity, for protecting my mother and presenting to God the Father her immense works of love, which I do not fully know but you do. Mothers and children we pray together to the Virgin:
“God save you, Mary, you are full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among all women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen”.

Santa María de la Caridad, we present to you all your daughters, the sick mothers who are in hospitals, in homes, in homes for the elderly. Make them feel your loving presence. Pray for them so that, in this painful moment, they feel that their children love them and are filled with peace and patience. Saint Mary of Charity, console the children of sick mothers and pray that mothers and children are always united in the midst of illness. Amen.

Good Father God, you are the only one who knows all the good that my late mother did for me and the family. I do not know all that maternal good. Reward her as only you can with eternal life. Forgive the sins that she may have committed. Teach me to keep alive the inheritance of harmony and family union that she bequeathed to all the children and this inheritance grows and passes from generation to generation. Santa María de la Caridad, you who are our mother, join us, now that we lack the mother who gave birth to us, and what she did with us, do it now in our lives and wait for us together with our mother in the house of heaven . Amen.

Mom and Dad pray before the baby that was just born today. Father God, we present to you the blessed fruit of our love. How wonderful that a creature has emerged from our love that makes our whole house and family happy! We are happy to live what our parents experienced when we were born, and that affection received we want to offer multiply to the son or daughter that we now carry, caress, care for, accompany. Help us so that mom and dad, who gave birth to our boy or girl, be more united every day and together make happy those who already made us happy before they were born. Help us, Virgin of Charity, so that our blessed fruit never lacks the loving and permanent presence of mom and dad always together. What happiness for our creature! For her we praise the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit saying:
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, now and forever, forever and ever. Amen”.
We ask Our Lady to carry the children who were born today and we pray to her:
“God save you, Mary, you are full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among all women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen”.

Advice from many mothers for their children:
“Smile, the more often the better. The smile cheers your heart, keeps you in a good mood, keeps the peace of your soul, preserves your health, calms the nerves and beautifies your face. She talks about joy. By talking to ourselves we can convince ourselves of what we want. Make sure you have chosen the right path and once you have done this, go ahead without looking back. Look at the bright side of things. Above the black clouds of life the clarity of God always reverberates. Do not lament that roses are surrounded by thorns, but rather rejoice and rejoice thinking that such a prosaic thing, like thorns, deserves to enjoy the company of such a delicate thing as roses. Pour happiness. Happiness is a perfume that no one can pour on us without a drop falling on it. Think nice things. Our life is what our thoughts make of it. Count your benefits received, write them down if you wish to keep them in memory. You have too many gifts and graces received from God for you to entertain yourself in sadness and melancholy. Find yourself a favorite entertainment. No matter how insignificant it may be, if you like it and it goes with your way of being, it will be a source of joy. Take care of your reading. We do what we read to ourselves. If you want to be joyful, read the word of God that will bring you to the fullness of love and the fullness of happiness. Take care of good health habits. Joy is a consequence of having kept the rules of health. With health you will keep yourself in a happy spirit. Ask God to grant you joy. Pray and God will give you back the joy of peace and your salvation. God helps those who help themselves, through prayer ”.

Today the Church prays the rosary from the Holy House of Loreto in Italy on the occasion of the end of the pandemic and in a particular way for the elderly. With the elders who are by our side we pray the Hail Mary prayer:
Hail Mary, you are full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among all women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
The blessing of the Lord for all pregnant women. Each pregnant woman places her hands on the blessed fruit that she carries within herself, the father also places her hands on his baby. The blessing of God the father who made you a mother for the love of your husband, the blessing of Jesus Christ, blessed fruit, who wants to bless the blessed fruit of this love, the blessing of the Holy Spirit who can achieve a happy birth and a beautiful education, descend on mom, dad and blessed fruit, and the company of the Virgin protects and accompanies you during all this time of pregnancy and hope.
