Without making noise, walking as one who prefers to remain silent out of respect for pain, so walked the Sisters of the Society of the Heart of Jesus by the cast El Roble; one of the neighborhoods where major havoc made the fateful January 27 tornado in Guanabacoa. But the halo of God made them look on the face of a lady who sighed sadness; then, knowing that love is concrete, they approached her and asked her, how we can help.

Rosa, who sought some hope in the midst of loss, informed them that she needed to at least assemble a piece of the roof of her house, to shelter her father, a prostrate man, from any inclement weather. Following the petition, the nuns contacted the members of the youth group of the parish Asunción; and the next day in the morning, the boys ready to give everything for their neighbour, they faced him in front of a house that will never be the same again. It is important to note that in the midst of the reconstructive effort, God’s support was palpable, as they joined the work, Ernesto, pastor of a Baptist Church in the area and a guagua with young people from a beach company. Thanks to them, in addition to the roof, a large amount of debris was moved to the outskirts of the home.

For the first time, many of the protagonists of this story were partakers of a tangible testimony of social friendship. Jaime, one of the lady’s sons, will never forget the fateful day when he lost the infrastructure of his home, but he will not erase from his mind, that tornado of Faith that brought minimal hope to his reconstruction.
