From 18 to 25 January the week of prayer for Christian unity is celebrated. This year the proposed themes and reflections have been prepared by Christians on the islands of Malta and Gozo. The motto is taken from Acts 28.2: “We were treated with a rare request” and highlights the proverbial hospitality that the inhabitants of Malta offered paul and his companions after suffering a storm and shipwreck in the vicinity of Malta.
In our Archdiocese we had the inauguration last Friday in the First Presbyterian Church and the closing will be on Friday 17th in the Catholic parish of St. John lateran. Yesterday Sunday was held the 7th ecumenical youth festival with wide participation of young people from various Christian communities who, with art, music and poetry, came together to pray and sing for full communion among all followers of Christ the Lord.
