By the imposition of the hands of the Archbishop of Havana, Archbishop Juan de la Caridad García, he was ordained a priest Royne Rodríguez Alpízar in ceremony held on Saturday, June 23 at the Cathedral of Havana.
The new priest, who embraced faith in the community of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, in Aguacate, Madruga, entered the Seminary San Carlos and San Ambrosio in September 2011 at thirty-five years, after completing his studies in Industrial Engineering. In December last year, he received diaconal ordination.
Upon receiving the Sacrament of the Priestly Order, Father Royne joins the mission of the Habanera Church, which currently has one hundred and twelve clerics between diocesans and religious. On them, Msgr. Garcia told the newly ordained: “Behold the best of each one and make it your own. That’s how you’ll be a father and a holy priest.”
An important part of the Habanero clergy accompanied Father Royne, who also had close to family, friends and faithful of the archdiocese.
